6 Weeks to Better Brain Health
In this course, you will learn how to maintain and enhance brain health as well as identify and practice natural ways to improve cognition. Interactive activities and handouts will enable participants to take what they've learned into their daily lives. The class will meet once a week for six weeks; presentations will focus on physical, mental/emotional, and energetic techniques to create better brain health. Topics each week will include: mindset and preparing to make changes, nutrition, movement, social connection, stress management, energy assessment, and creating a plan.

This course has three instructors. Barbara Shovers is a life coach and gerontologist and has been a full-time faculty member at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, as well as an instructor at Coconino Community College and Mesa Community College. Aaron Williams is a registered nurse and board-certified nurse coach with over 15 years of acute care nursing experience. Karen Spencer is a brain health and wellness coach and has twenty-five years of college teaching experience.

This course is available both in-person and via Zoom. Recordings of each class will be available to registrants. The course meets on the following Wednesdays: Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, Dec. 6, 13, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Please note that the course does not meet on Nov. 22.
