Note:

CCC is a non-attendance taking institution. It is the sole responsibility of the student to drop or withdraw if they have no intention of attending class. Faculty will not drop/withdraw students. Faculty will only enter no shows (NS), FTSE verification, and final grades. Registration will remove any student who is assigned an NS status by faculty from the roster. Students who are issued an NS status and/or do not drop by the refund deadline are charged full tuition.

 

 

Deadline Definitions

Registration & Enrollment Services

Priority Registration for Continuing Students/Open Registration for all Students

  • Priority registration (continuing students) begins one week prior to open registration (all students) each fall and spring semester.
  • Registering early maximizes your chances of securing your preferred class schedule.

 

Last Day to Add without Instructor Approval

  • The final date to register for a class during the open registration period; no instructor approval necessary.
  • Between this date and the last day to add, instructor permission (signature or electronic) is required to register.

 

Deadline to Drop without Record

  • The final date to drop a course(s) without a "W" (withdraw) grade on your academic transcript.

 

Last Day to Add with Instructor Approval

  • The final date to register for a class; permission from the instructor (signature or electronic) is required.
  • Students are not able to register for classes after this date.

 

Deadline for Faculty to Enter NS (no-show) Grades

  • Faculty are required to report any student that does not attend/participate during the first week of class.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to drop by the deadline if they do not intend to complete the course.
  • Students who are issued an NS grade are removed from the course roster and are charged full tuition.

 

Deadline to Withdraw with a Grade of W

  • The final date to withdraw from a course; it is the student’s responsibility to withdraw if they do not intend to complete the course.
  • Faculty are not able to withdraw students; students who stop attending and do not withdraw will receive the grade earned.

 

Financial Aid

Priority 1 Deadline for FAFSA Submission with CCC Financial Aid

  • Maximize your chances of qualifying for the largest financial aid award.
  • Receive your financial aid award letter (if eligible) before classes start.
  • Your financial aid award (if eligible) will hold your classes.
  • Receive a bookstore voucher (if eligible) the week before classes start.

 

Priority 2 Deadline for FAFSA Submission with CCC Financial Aid

  • Receive your financial aid award letter (if eligible) before classes start.
  • Your financial aid award (if eligible) will hold your classes.
  • Receive a bookstore voucher (if eligible) the week before classes start.

 

Priority 3 Deadline for FAFSA Submission with CCC Financial Aid

  • Receive your financial aid award letter (if eligible) before classes start.
  • Your financial aid award (if eligible) will hold your classes.

 

Missed all the Deadlines?

  • Financial Aid does not hold classes for students who have missed the priority deadlines.
  • Students who have missed the three priority deadlines are advised to pay for their classes in full or sign up for a Payment Plan.
  • Students completing their FAFSA and turning in their required financial aid documents after the Priority 3 Deadline should expect the awarding process to take around 30 days.
  • Students who have missed the deadlines, but complete the FAFSA late may be reimbursed retroactively.
  • Students can submit FAFSAs anytime during the semester in which they are enrolled.
  • CCC must receive the student's processed FAFSA with a valid expected family contribution (EFC) no later than the student's last date of enrollment. Financial Aid will not hold classes for students who have missed the priority deadlines.

 

Student Accounts

Payment Deadline

  • Due by 5:00 p.m. on the date of deadline, after that time, payment is due at time of registration.
  • Non-payment will result in being dropped from your course(s).

 

Late Registration Fee Assessed

  • If your first registration for the semester occurs on or after the first day of your class, you will be charged a $50 late fee.

 

Refund Deadline

  • Students who drop within the published deadlines will receive a 100% refund.
  • Students who do not attend class(es) the first week of instruction, and do not drop, will be responsible for full tuition.

 

Late Residency Fee Assessed

  • If you do not establish your residency status before this date - or if you are appealing your residency determination - you will be charged a $50 late fee.
  • Appeals for residency reclassification for past terms are not accepted.
